I had a good time, glad I found out we could skip the crazy line since we were wearing all black! Nice to finally meet some Meetup members :)

I got there at 5:45 but it was so crowded that I left.

What fun!! The movie was more on the so-so side, but delivered more than I expected (solid cinematography, good jump-out-of-your-seat moments) ... it reminded me a bit of some of the 1950s creep flicks I've seen. Thanks everybody for coming out to this event!

As Stefan pointed out, many of us had very low expectations to begin with, and were quite pleasantly surprised as a result. While this movie will in no way establish DR's credentials as a leading man (he is very bland and lacks any kind of charisma whatsoever), it's competently made and delivers a certain amount of Thrills & Chills.

I had fun. The movie made me jump, which was good, the ending was a bit on the lame side. I had a good time though. Especially afterwards when a few of us got lost in the back halls of the mall trying to find the exit.

It had a good story, some predictable parts, not super duper scary but an entertaining horror flick.

The movie was horribly absurd, which was funny. The people were the icing on the cake!

A good film choice by Stefan; and a group of nice, fun, intelligent people to share it with!

The movie was a lot of fun - chock full of all the mindless gore that I was craving. The English dubbing and Danish subtitles added just the right amount of absurdity into an already crazy mix, and the mostly enthusiastic audience made the screening even more enjoyable.

I liked the movie group, but I only like certain types of movies, and movies like "House by the Cemetery" is not for me. I go more for certain types of supernatural or ghost stories, not the gory types this movie represents. I can't wait to see a science fiction movie with this group. Maybe the "Avengers?"

awesome! Timetravel back to the good old times where movies were still gritty, creepy and gory. Campy fun!

Excellent Stage Show by Peaches Christ, it was very entertaining. The movie "The Shining" has lost none of its power and impact over the years, and remains extremely relevant to the today's audiences, as evidenced by the reaction of the Castro threatre crowd.

This was a great T&C event. The White Zombie was a revelation - but the print left a lot to be desired. It was my first time watching NotLD, and it completely blew me away! It has not dated at all, and both technically as well as thematically feels more contemporary and topical than ever. (& a big thanks to Stefan for giving me a ride back to the BART station after the show.)

I was really impressed by the cinematography, interesting and artistic camera angles, and special effects in White Zombie, considering that it was made 80 years ago. I didn't stay for Night of the Living Dead, but have seen it before and think that it's much deeper than a typical low-budget horror movie, providing astute social commentary.

We(my son and I) enjoyed the movie as much as was possible. We would have liked a better story line that would at least have one character we could root for. In this case, all were so wrapped up in hate/crime/warfare that we found no redeeming quality. Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately we could not find any of the members of this group while we were there. It seemed we were two of many people who knew no one. Thanks for your time and effort.

While I don't feel 'Outrage' is one of his greatest films, Kitano fans will have much to like in this Yakuza splatterfest. A very enjoyable evening, overall, and Jason was a most gracious last-minute host.

A thoroughly enjoyable T&C evening; while this is not a great film, Tarsem totally delivers - his breathtaking visual style and the brief bursts of extreme violence amply make up for the occasional lack in substance. (And I always feel I learn so much from talking with Stefan and Emily and Jason.)

I am afraid I wasn't as enthusiastic about In Time as others seemed to be last night. The film was certainly moderately entertaining, but not quite intellectually engaging enough. The recent financial crisis and the Occupy movements made 'the message' feel very topical, but the metaphor was incredibly heavy handed and at times juvenile - even if one could overlook the often-glaring plot-holes. The (very) basic anti-Capitalist & anarchist theme was far too simplistic to be completely effective, and I, for one, was hoping for a little more ambiguity and complexity and subtlety. But I am not complaining - it was a fun evening, and a T&C meetup is always a joy.

A T&C meetup is always a lot of fun, and I had been looking forward to this movie for a long time. Almodovar is one of my favorite directors, and he returns (somewhat) to form after the disastrous Broken Embraces, taking a wildly improbably and flimsy pulp novel and turning it into a dreamy meditation on gender and revenge - as long as one can ignore the glaring plot-holes and the weak ending. Jason and Emily were insightful and entertaining as always, and I had a great evening.
